Today is a bittersweet day for the Broadway community as we say farewell to the first new musical of the 2017-2018 Broadway season. Manhattan Theatre Club’s PRINCE OF BROADWAY (the all star revue recreating 16 iconic Broadway Musicals that were directed or produced by 21 time Tony winner Hal Prince) ends it’s strictly limited engagement at the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre. Following it’s final bow, the show will have played 23 previews and 76 regular Broadway performances.

In addition to the show’s final curtain according to word on the street, there will be a PRINCE OF BROADWAY: Original Broadway Cast Recording. Fans will be able to hear showstopping performances from some of your favorite Broadway shows as well as new original material from Tony winner Jason Robert Brown all done by it’s spectacular all-star Broadway cast including Tony Award winners Chuck Cooper and Karen Ziemba, Tony Award nominees Tony Yazbeck, Brandon Uranowitz, and Emily Skinner, Olivier Award nominee Michael Xavier, Kaley Ann Voorhees, Janet Decal, and Bryonha Marie Parham.

Congrats to the cast, crew, musicians, and creative team of PRINCE OF BROADWAY. In addition, a special thank you to Hal Prince for changing the faces of Musical Theatre. Broadway is never the same without you. You inspire us to DO THE WORK. Happy Trails!!
