Today is a bittersweet day for the company of the nominated smash hit Waitress the Musical (which celebrated it’s 1st Anniversary yesterday) as Tony winner Jessie Mueller bakes her final pie and turns in her blue uniform and apron at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre. She will be missed and hopefully will be back on Broadway soon.

This week from March 28th-30th, 2017, the lead role of “Jenna” will be played by Ensemble member and former “Elphaba” herself, the amazing Stephanie Torns.

Starting March 31st, 2017, the show’s Tony and Grammy nominated composer Sara Bareilles will make her long awaited Broadway acting debut playing the role of “Jenna” for a limited 10 week engagement.

Happy Trails Jessie! Break a leg to Stephanie and Sara this week.

In celebration, here is Jessie, Sara, and the company with their incredible performance at this past year’s Tony Awards.

Sara Bareilles and Jessie Mueller preform with Kimiko Glenn, Christopher Fitzgerald, Keala Settle and the company of WAITRESS
