the high energy candelabra “Lumiere” in Disney’s Beauty and the Beast which he earned a Tony nomination,

the flamboyant theater director turned star “Roger De Bris” in The Producers which earned him a Tony for his performance (he later went on to become a replacement for the lead role of the sleazy “Max Bialystock”,

the aging drag queen “Albin ” (aka “Zaza” in the first revival of La Cage Broadway which earned him another Tony nomination,

and was last seen on the Great White Way as sleazy Inn keeper “Thernadier” in the first Broadway revival of Les Mis?rables US.

RIP Gary Beach….. an ultimate showstopping talent like no other. You will be missed.
