Last night, Broadway favorite Eden Espinosa launched the first of 4 performances of her month long UNPLUGGD & UNPLANNED residency show at The Green Room 42. With just a guitar, drums, and a little piano, the show featured the powerhouse performing a diverse selection Musical Theater and Pop/Rock favorites (including covers and songs from her 2 acclaimed solo albums LOOK AROUND and her latest original album REVELATION) along with personal stories.

With her residency, no 2 shows will ever be the same. Each night you see Eden perform, the setlist will be completely different. It also will feature a section where Espinosa will take MUSICAL THEATER REQUESTS from the audience. During the 1st show last night, fans were shouting out song choices bringing it down to 3…..

DEFYING GRAVITY from her breakout performance in WICKED The Musical,

NOT A DAY GOES BY from Merrily We Roll Along,

RAINBOW HIGH from Evita.

With the response being overwhelming thanks to the packed audience and yelling out suggestions, it got Espinosa more of the inspiration and ideas on how to organize the section during the show. For her next 3 shows, the audience will be able to write down a song selection on a piece of paper while having dinner. During the show, Espinosa will pull them out of a hat.

The other major highlighted included special guest Tony Award winner and acclaimed singer-songwriter Levi Kreis (Broadway's Million Dollar Quartet) who performed a beautiful duet of CAN'T MAKE YOU LOVE ME with Espinosa. In addition, Kreis did a song by himself at the piano…. a beautiful rendition of the Sondheim classic NOT WHILE I'M AROUND from Sweeney Todd.

If you are in for a night of intimacy and immediacy with one of the greatest powerhouse talents of them all, this is your chance. You can catch Eden Espinosa's UNPLUGGED & UNPLANNED residency this month on the next following dates….

February 16th, 23rd, and the 28th, 2020.

In addition to Espinosa's residency, you can be able to catch her next Monday night at David Geffen Hall at Lincoln Center. She will be taking part in Manhattan Concert Productions ONE NIGHT ONLY 50th Anniversary concert presentation of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. NYBT's very own Michael (who was in attendance for Espinosa's concert last night) will also be taking part in the JOSEPH concert as part of the production's 300 piece BROADWAY FESTIVAL CHORUS. Break a leg to you both!!!

Where are all the Eden fans out there?!!!
