ON THE MARQUEE: Some of our friends and followers have taken to the streets to still show their love and appreciation for life without Live Theater during this time. For Broadway, it was personally very bittersweet. This COVID-19 pandemic took a huge toll on many of the shows. Some shows shutdown have closed for good and are not returning when Live Theater comes back. In addition, some shows closed early on before this pandemic even happened. Let's now take a look at some the Theaters that no longer have shows during this time…..

The St. James Theatre – Recently the home of Disney's Frozen – The Musical. The STORM RAGED ON and wasn't a match for 2 royal sisters. It officially had its final performance on March 11th, 2020 following a complete total of 851 performances. Upcoming productions will include London's West End, Australia, Japan, and Germany. New St. James Theatre show TBA,

The Marquis Theatre – Recently the home of the Award winning Tootsie The Musical. The production closed on January 5th, 2020 following a complete total of 318 performances. The next show expecting to hit the Marquis Theatre will be the new Britney Spears musical Once Upon a One More Time. New performance dates TBA,

The Ethel Barrymore Theatre – Recently the home of the Award winning play The Inheritance. It was scheduled to shutdown on March 13th, 2020 but closed one day early following a complete total of 175 performances. No word has been announced on the Barrymore Theatre's next show,

and last but not least The Winter Garden Theatre – Recently the home of Beetlejuice The Musical. BEETLEJUICE was originally scheduled to shut down on June 6th, 2020. It's real final performance was March 10th, 2020 following a complete total of 393 performances. Rumors are in the works for a possible transfer for BEETLEJUICE to another Shubert Organization house. For the Winter Garden Theatre itself, the next production will be the highly anticipated revival of The Music Man (starring Tony winners Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster). The new production is set to march it's way back to the Great Bright Way next year. Previews will begin April 7th, 2021 and the official Opening Night on May 20th, 2021.

RIP to these amazing productions. We cannot wait for the newer shows coming in as well.
