ON THE MARQUEE: Another one of the many shows that are scheduled to return to Broadway next year is the highly anticipated ON BROADWAY debut of Stefano Massini's Olivier nominated smash hit Off Broadway and West End play The Lehman Trilogy. One of our friends was able to share a photo with us of the play's home at Broadway's Nederlander Theatre.

The production originally began previews on March 7th, 2020 and was initially set to officially open on March 26th, 2020 for a strictly limited engagement. However, it was abruptly shutdown after a week of previews due to the COVID-19 pandemic

With the recent news of Broadway extending its shutdown till June 2021, no official word has been said for the play's official re-start day. Stay tuned.

Under the direction of Tony, Oscar, and Golden Globe winner Sam Mendes, the casting is expecting to still be the same as it was before the pandemic happened. THE LEHMAN TRILOGY was led by…

Adam Godley as "Mayer Lehman",
Ben Miles as "Emanuel Lehman",
and the legendary Simon Russell Beale as "Henry Lehman".

In case anyone may not know or may have forgetten, THE LEHMAN TRILOGY is a 3 act / 3 person play telling the story of The Lehman Brothers on their rise and the crash of one of the world's largest investment banks in the United States.

It was originally conceived as a radio play in Italy back 2012. A year later, it was translated as a full scale play initially in French playing the Comédie de Saint-Étienne in Saint-Étienne, France. It would later be translated into English in 2018 making its World Premiere in the UK at London's National Theatre and later transferred to the Piccadilly Theatre in London's West End. The play was well received and was nominated for 7 Olivier Awards. Following the triumph of it's London engagement, the production made its way across the pond to New York playing a sold out Off Broadway engagement at the Park Avenue Armory. Now, it made the way to our ON Broadway backyard.
