Grammy nominee Halle Bailey as "Ariel" (the title role herself),
Tony winner Daveed Diggs as "Sebastian The Crab",
Oscar winner Javier Bardem as "King Triton",
Emmy winner and Oscar nominee Melissa McCarthy as the evil sea witch "Ursula",
Jonah Hauer-King as "Prince Eric",
Jacob Tremblay as "Flounder",
and
Awkwafina as "Scuttle".
This new film will include all the beloved songs Alan Menken and Howard Ashman songs from the 1989 film including PART OF YOUR WORLD, KISS THE GIRL, and the Oscar winning UNDER THE SEA. In addition, it will also feature new songs by Menken and Lin-Manuel Miranda. No word has also been said if the new film will also include the Menken and Glenn Slater songs that were written for the stage version of THE LITTLE MERMAID.
