HIDEODIOUS NEWS! Theater Etiquette menaces are up to no good nowadays!! It was reported yesterday at a performance of the London production of WICKED, there was a couple of drunk audience members in the dress circle (the mezzanine) who was being rude, loud, and disruptive throughout the show’s first act.
By the time they reached the interval, security, ushers, and fellow audience members at the Apollo Victoria Theatre were having trouble getting the patrons of the theater. One of them stocked glued to her seat and would not move. This interval instead of 15-20 minutes was extended to 50 MINUTES. As the long break kept extending, the sold out audience began to chant “Get Out, Get Out”. Eventually they were removed and the second act went on.
Shame on those audience members being routy, loud, and disruptive towards their fellow audience members.
Check out this TikTok of the audience during the chant .
