SOME KIND OF WONDERFUL news!!! Abby Mueller is set to rejoin the Broadway company of Beautiful – The Carole King Musical starting August 7th, 2018 at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre. She will succeed Glee and Supergirl favorite Melissa Benoist who ends her limited engagement in the Tony and Grammy winning smash hit on August 4th, 2018.
Chilina Kennedy was initially supposed to rejoin the Broadway cast that same month following her run in the world premiere Off Broadway show THIS AIN’T NO DISCO at the Atlantic Theater Company. However, she had to drop due to another show she is set for this Fall… A SIGN OF THE TIMES at the Deleware Theatre Company. Hopefully she will return to BEAUTIFUL real soon.
Abby Muller is of course no stranger to playing the acclaimed Grammy winning singer/songwriter Carole King in the Tony and Grammy winning smash hit musical about her life. She originated the role on the 1st National Tour and previously joined the Broadway Company for a limited engagement last Summer. Most importantly, she is the sister of the show’s original Broadway leading lady Jessie Mueller who earned a 2014 Tony Award for her performance.
