Let the Ball begin!!! Last night, Andrew Lloyd Webber‘s long awaited musical adaptation of the classic story of Cinderella officially made its world premiere debut in London’s West End. This new take on the legendary fairy tale (led by West End favorite Carrie Hope Fletcher) also marks as the first new original musical to debut in over a year and a half since the COVID-19 pandemic.
At that first performance, Lloyd Webber himself took centerstage to a limited 50% seating capacity audience thanking them for their patience in this long interval. All of this comes from with Live Theater being shutdown and recent strict policies from the UK Government on the Delta Variant. Taking it slow and safe.
PLEASE NOTE: According to the show’s social media, sadly the cast will not be doing the post-show stage door at this time. Please remember not to RANT at the incredible talents. We know how much you love them all. This is for everyone’s safety.
The production is currently in previews at London’s Gillian Lynne Theatre. The official Opening Night is set for July 14th, 2021.
Break a leg to the entire cast, crew, musicians, and creative team!!
How magical is this?!!!
