ON THE MARQUEE: Broadway is taking the power of SCARE to the next level. Our 2026-2027 season is getting into full swing with some exciting new shows. One of the first new PLAYS to open this season is already making the Great Bright Way SCREAM!!! That particular is….. Paranormal Activity!! Yes, the 2007 horror film series was now turned into a horror play written by British playwright Levi Holloway.

This new show is an entirely new story. Basically, the plot follows a newly married couple that moves from Chicago to London for a fresh new start. However, they learned that they can’t escape their past, as the supernatural entity that turned their lives upside down follows them to their new home. These hauntings eventually leads to a strain in their marriage, but learn to work together to confront the entity. The show brings the vibe of the films to life on stage with thrilling special effects, intense scary content, and tons of jump scares making audiences scream every night.

NOTE: Everyone who sees this show, PLEASE bring earplugs!!!

PARANORMAL ACTIVITY LIVE ON STAGE started out in the UK in 2024. It premiered in Leeds, England, before transferring to London’s West End at the Amabssadors Theatre, where it continues to play till October 2026.

The London production was nominated for an Olivier Award this year for BEST ENTERTAINMENT- COMEDY OR A PLAY. However, it lost the category.

A UK / Ireland Touring company will kick off next year.

Following the Leeds run, the show made its way overseas to the United States. It premiered in the Fall of last year, 2025 in Chicago, IL at the Chicago Shakespeare Theater. From there, it embarked on a mini US Tour where it played….

Finally, earlier this month, the production arrived here on our Broadway backyard. It began previews August 14th, 2026, opened August 25th, 2026, and will run for a strictly limited run at the August Wilson Theatre, through January 3rd, 2027.

Under the direction of Felix Barrett, this cast is led by….
