RUN & TELL THAT!! It has just been announced that the Tony and Olivier Award winning smash hit Hairspray will be making its way back to London's West End for a strictly limited engagement next year. It will play the London Coliseum beginning April 23rd, 2020 for a 12 week run.
This returning engagement will once again feature the original staging (as seen first on Broadway, then all over North America, and then around the world) that played London's Shaftsbury Theatre from 2007-2010. Under the direction of Jack O'Brien and choreography by Tony winner Jerry Mitchell, it will also feature the legendary West End performer Michael Ball OBE reprising his performance of the stern turned kind hearted mother herself "Edna Turnblad" (which he took him a 2007 Olivier Award for his performance).
London, are you excited and ready to raise your hair again and still show the world that YOU STILL CAN'T STOP THE BEAT?
It has just been reported that the hit musical Hairspray will return to the West End!
