REJOICIFY!! WE COULDN’T BE HAPPIER to be celebrating the return of one of Broadway’s most beloved shows that has changed us all FOR GOOD….. WICKED. Earlier this morning, the Broadway company of Stephen Schwartz’s Award winning phenomenon woke up early this morning to begin their SWANKIFIED celebration at Studio 1A in Rockefeller Center on The Today Show.
Here is the show’s current Broadway standbys Jennifer DiNoia as “Elphaba”, Brittney Johnson as “Glinda”, and the cast performing the ultimate ranting showstopper WHAT IS THIS FEELING. For a song like this, it’s truly an anthem now to say we are LOATHING COVID for what it did to our community. But Broadway is back and ready to DEFY GRAVITY.
Later on in the show, DiNoia and Johnson had a costume change performing the show’s powerful 11:00 spiritual anthem FOR GOOD.
In addition, DiNoia was joined by Sam Gravitte as “Fiyero” to sing the beautiful romantic duet AS LONG AS YOU’RE MINE.
WICKED reopens tonight at Broadway’s Gershwin Theatre. Meanwhile, the show also reopens in London’s West End at Apollo Victoria Theatre tomorrow night.
This is the 3rd production of WICKED to open post-pandemic. The previous companies included the Korean company and the ongoing Munchkinland 2nd National Touring company.
Break a leg FELLOW OZIANS!!!
How THRILLIFYING was that?!!
