ON THE MARQUEE: Last chance to get your CAN CAN on as the Tony Award winning smash Moulin Rouge will end its SPECTACULAR, SPECTACULAR Broadway run of 7 years this Sunday. Following the last encore, the stage production of the Oscar winning film will have played 24 PREVIEWS & 2,265 REGULAR PERFORMANCES here on the Great Bright Way.

With this closing cast, we have an incredible lineup of talents in and returning to celebrate the best of TRUTH, BEAUTY, LOVE, & FREEDOM consisting of…..

The musical’s original leading man Aaron Tviet returning to portray his his Tony winning performance as struggling writer “Christian” for the last time,

The Voice favorite and now rising Broadway powerhouse Kelsie Watts becoming the final SPARKLING DIAMOND herself “Satine”,

&

Broadway veteran Eric Anderson returning as ringmaster and club owner “Harold Zidler”.

NOTE: Aaron Tviet will NOT do the actual closing night performance on Sunday. He is committed to stay through Saturday. For the actual closing day, the role of “Christian” will be performed by Tour veteran Christian Douglas.

ON THE MARQUEE: WE CAN SEE IT indeed, as the legendary longest running musical The Fantasticks heads back to the Big Apple this Fall. We are so ready for MUCH MORE as this timeless Off Broadway masterpiece will be making its way ON Broadway for the very first time. To get us in the mood, check out the newly updated front of house billboards outside the show’s soon-to-be home at Second Stage at the Hayes Theatre.

Under the direction of Tony winner Christopher Gattelli, this new production of THE FANTASTICKS will feature a newly revised gender-swapped score and book updated by the show’s legendary creator Tom Jones. We’re talking the Next Door Neighboring Friends, formerly Fathers, are now Mothers. The boy “Matt” is gay and now falls for another boy “Lewis”, in place of the formerly known “Luisa”, the girl. The story is still the same.

This new revival of THE FANTASTICKS will begin previews October 22nd, 2026, Opening Night is set for November 16th, 2026, and will run for a limited 15 WEEKS till February 7th, 2027.
