Adam Jacobs Says Farewell to Broadway’s Aladdin

He’s off on a magic carpet ride to A WHOLE NEW WORLD across America! Today we says Happy Trails to Tony nominee Adam Jacobs who plays his final performance as the title role in the Broadway production of Aladdin – The Musical at the New Amsterdam Theatre. However, his duties as a STREET RAT turned PRINCE are not over. Beginning this April, Jacobs will be headlining the show’s National Tour across America starting in Chicago.

From February 14th through March 24th, original Ensemble member and Jacob’s understudy Joshua Dela Cruz will be performing the role of “Aladdin” 8 times a week on Broadway. No word has been made on who will be filling the role officially fulltime yet.

Break a leg on the tour Adam, we will miss you. Congrats to Joshua on the exciting ONE JUMP AHEAD from understudy to temporary fulltime star.
