BREAKING NEWS: The Award winning smash hit Beautiful – The Carole King Musical is making it’s way to Australia this Fall. In addition, they have announced that acclaimed Award winning Musical Theatre star Esther Hannaford (recently seen as “Ann Darrow” in the World premiere musical adaptation of King Kong that’s overdue to come to Broadway) will be making Australia FEEL THE EARTH MOVE as their “Carole King”.
The Australian production of BEAUTIFUL will playing the Lyric Theatre in Sydney starting September 2017.
As groundbreaking music icon Carole King celebrates her 75th birthday, the Broadway sensation based on her remarkable rise to stardom is thrilled to announce its leading lady.
THROWBACK THURSDAY: From 1996-2001, Rosie O’Donnell was well known as the QUEEN OF NICE with her 6 year/season Emmy winning daytime talk show on NBC entitled The Rosie O’Donnell Show. On the show, she invited everyone from our Broadway backyard, Film, TV, Music, and much more. For those who may not know, Rosie is the ultimate fan and supporter of ALL BROADWAY SHOWS!!!
In 2001, she ended her talk show wanting take time off to be with her kids. For the opening of the final episode of the talk show, cast members of various Broadway shows running at the time came together to say farewell parodying lyrics to their shows.

BREAKING NEWS: London is ready to PUT ON THE RITZ with a long awaited and overdue West End production of Mel Brooks “screamingly mad funny” musical adaptation of Young Frankenstein. This production will reunite the original creative team from the show’s 2008 Broadway Debut including it’s Tony winner Susan Stroman directing and choreographing, Beowulf Boritt doing the sets, and Tony winner William Ivey Long doing his costumes. The UK cast will be announced soon.
YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN will have it’s Pre-West End tryout in Newcastle at the Theatre Royal Newcastle from August 26th through September 9th before officially hitting the London’s Garrick Theatre on September 28th.
YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN was Mel Brooks second Broadway Musical (based on his acclaimed films) following The Producers. It played Broadway’s Hilton Theatre (now the Lyric Theatre) in 2008 running for 485 performances.
