With the musical's original 1975 production's 936 performances at the 46th Street Theatre (which later became the Richard Rodgers Theatre) and the revival combined, CHICAGO has played a full complete total of 10,653 performances in New York City!!!!!

This revival also holds the record of being both THE 2ND LONGEST RUNNING SHOW IN BROADWAY HISTORY & THE 1ST LONGEST RUNNING AMERICAN MUSICAL IN BROADWAY HISTORY!!!

It won 6 Tony Awards in 1997 including BEST REVIVAL OF A MUSICAL. Its cast recording also took home a Grammy Award for BEST MUSICAL THEATRE ALBUM that same year.

At the time of the Broadway company's return, this revival will reach another upcoming milestone playing its 10,000th performance.
