SOMEWHERE IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE, art is being made during this COVID-19 pandemic!! Tony nominees Irene Sankoff and David Hein are already hard at work in developing the film adaptation of the Award winning 9/11 musical Come From Away. While being interviewed with The Toronto Star, the husband-wife composing duo mentioned that already finished the first draft of the script. In addition, they're expecting to work on several new projects as well for the Stage.

Talks of the COME FROM AWAY film has been made since 2017. It will be produced by The Mark Gordon Company and directed by the stage musical's Tony winning director Christopher Ashley.

The Broadway community may be experiencing some downtime, but Come From Away creators Irene Sankoff and David Hein are staying busy. In a recent interview with the Toronto Star, the couple revealed that the film version of the musical is still very much in the works.
