BREAKING NEWS: The nominations for this year's Olivier Awards have been announced. Several shows nominated consist of some of the show's that came to the UK directly from our Broadway backward including Come From Away, The Lincoln Center Theater revival of The King and I the Musical, and more. Other additional nominated shows including the critically acclaimed Gender swap revival of Stephen Sondheim's Company West End (starring Rosalie Craig and Patti LuPone) that is expecting to hit Broadway somewhere later this year, King Lear, The Lehman Trilogy, and more.

For those who may not know, the Oliviers (named after Laurence Olivier) is considered as the Tony Awards for British Theater. It honors the best of London's West End, Opera, Ballet, and more. This year's ceremony is set for April 7th, 2019 at London's Royal Albert Hall.

Today (Tuesday 5 March), actors Sheila Atim and Giles Terera announced the nominations for the Olivier Awards 2019 with Mastercard, which takes place on Sunday 7 April at the Royal Albert Hall, hosted by Jason Manford.
