BREAKING NEWS: The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts located in our Nation's Capitol of Washington D.C. has slowly starting to get back into the vibe of live performances again. One of those most notable events expecting to still happen is the venue's annual gala benefit honoring some of the unforgettable artists who have made a mark on our Entertainment industry. Yup, we are talking about THE KENNEDY CENTER HONORS!!!!

For this year's event, it will be happening this May 2021 and will June 6th, 2021 on CBS. Usually, THE KENNEDY CENTER HONORS is held in December just a few days before the new year. However, it was postponed due to the D.C. venue still shutdown thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic.

For this year's event, it's still expecting to be a little different since we are still coping with ongoing COVID-19 safety precautions. There will be a medallion ceremony for the honorees and a limited audience allowed in the venue. Its entire campus will also come alive with small, in-person events and re-envisioned virtual tributes. Featuring multiple events for physically-distant audiences in locations across the Kennedy Center’s campus, programs will encompass both performances and speaking tributes for the honorees.

This year's honorees will feature an unforgettable lineup of talents from the world of Theater, Film, TV, Music, and more. 2 of them are noooooooooooo stranger to the world of the Great Bright Way consisting of…..

Tony Award winning legend Dick Van Dyke (yup, Bye Bye Birdie, Mary Poppins, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, and more),

and

Celebrated Tony Award nominated legend Debbie Allen (Sweet Charity, West Side Story, Fame, and so much more).

Other additional honorees this year will include….

Country legend Garth Brooks,

Acclaimed singer-songwriter Joan Baez,

and

Celebrated Violinist Midori.

Congrats to this year's honorees!!!!
