For Keala Settle singing THIS IS ME from Greatest Showman at this year’s Oscars, she joins an exciting lineup of most fellow Broadway pals who are also now getting worldwide attention performing at the legendary Awards show honoring the best of movies singing Nominated and Winning Best Original Songs (from films they were involved with).
Most recent recipients included….
Tony winner Idina Menzel for LET IT GO from Frozen (Winner for Best Original Song in 2014) which she also made the headlines for having her name mispronounced as “Adele Dazeem” by John Travolta (while introducing her),
and
Tony, Grammy, Pulitzer Prize, and Emmy winner Lin-Manuel Miranda for HOW FAR I’LL GO from Moana (Nominated last year for Best Original Song in 2015).
