HOLLY JOLLY NEWS: Olivier Award winner Lesli Margherita is about to get a little wild this holiday season. It has just been announced that her 2017 performance in Matthew Lombardo's smash hit one-woman comedy Who's Holiday was captured on film and will be livestreamed this December as a benefit for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. The streaming will be available on the Broadway Cares website from December 11th-15th, 2020.
The stream is free, but donations will be accepted for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS at BroadwayCares.org/WhosHoliday2020. Every dollar donated will help those across the country affected by HIV/AIDS, COVID-19, and other critical illnesses receive healthy meals, lifesaving medication, emergency financial assistance, housing, counseling, and more. The donations also support and champion organizations focused on social justice and anti-racism.
Filmed from the stage at Off Broadway's Westside Theatre during the 2017 holiday season, WHO'S HOLIDAY is a hilarious adult spinoff to Dr. Seuss's classic How The Grinch Stole Christmas. The story follows "Cindy Lou-Who" (Margherita ) as she recalls her experience meeting "The Grinch" at 2 years old. In addition, you discover her crazy life story afterwards 40 years later living in beaten-down trailer in the snowy hills of Mount Crumpit.
