The JAGGED LITTLE PILL company has been part of an exciting lineup of slow & steady reunions within these past 10 months since the show was abruptly shutdown on March 12th, 2020 due to the coronavirus.
This virtual livestreamed concert is set for December 13th, 2020 at 8pm EST. The concert will also be the first Broadway show to team up with Stellar, a brand new premium streaming platform designed specifically for live performances. It also will be part of the ongoing #SaveOurStages movement in helping rebuild the New York Theater community. As many of us know, this horrific COVID-19 pandemic took a huge toll on our community (especially how it caused many Theaters to shut down leaving artists out-of-work, struggling financially, and more).
In case anyone may not remember or know the story, JAGGED LITTLE PILL (based on Alanis Morissette's Grammy winning album) centers on a dysfunctional suburban family whose lives collide head-on with some of the most burning issues of today. It deals with the themes of drug addiction, violence, sexual assault, pain, healing, and empowerment. It features some of the greatest songs that have gone on to become angst, rebelling, and powerful anthems including ALL I REALLY WANT, HAND IN MY POCKET, IRONIC, HEAD OVER FEET, the showstopping F*** You anthem YOU OUGHTA KNOW (which gets a midshow standing ovation every night), and the uplifting YOU LEARN.
The actual show itself will be returning in 2021 to Broadway's Broadhurst Theatre. We know for a fact, the audience will be on their feet majority of the entire show because of how powerful it is.
