BREAKING NEWS: Due to the demands of the role, Tony nominee Lauren Ambrose will begin doing 7 performances a week in the acclaimed Lincoln Center Theater revival of My Fair Lady on Broadway. She will continue to do all scheduled performances except for Sunday matinees.
For the Sunday matinees at the Vivian Beaumont Theatre, the lead role of the beloved cockney flower girl turned society lady “Eliza Doolittle” will be played by Ensemble member, Ambrose’s understudy, and Broadway newcomer herself Kerstin Anderson. SEE, HARD WORK PAYS OFF AND ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN. Congrats Kerstin on being bumped up to alternate.
Lincoln Center Theater has announced that Kerstin Anderson will be begin playing Eliza Doolittle at all Sunday matinee performances of My Fair Lady, beginning Sunday, July 8 at the Vivian Beaumont Theater.
