BREAKING NEWS: 2021 marks the 5th Anniversary of the tragic passing of one of the greatest rock musicians ever David Bowie. Prior before his passing, he created a brand new original rock musical featuring his greatest hits entitled Lazarus. In celebration of Bowie's legacy, we are so excited to announce that LAZARUS is set to be livestreamed at the start of this new year 2021!!!!

For a strictly limited engagement from January 8th-10th, 2021, you will be able to experience this acclaimed show with a previously filmed performance of the show's original London production. From London's King's Cross Theatre and under the direction of Ivo van Hove, the cast is led by….

Golden Globe and Emmy winner Michael C Hall as " Thomas Newton",

Sophia Anne Caruso (Broadway's Beetlejuice) as "The Muse",

Olivier Award nominee Amy Lennox as "Ellie",

Michael Esper as "Valentine",

and more.

In case anyone may not know, LAZARUS is a musical adaptation based on the 1963 sci-fi novel THE MAN WHO FELL ON EARTH (which David Bowie starred in the film version back in 1976). The story follows "Thomas Newton" (Hall), a man who is still living on Earth that is unable to die with his head soaked in cheap gin, and haunted by a previous love. We follow his journey during the course of a few days where the arrival of another lost soul – might finally set him free. It features a combination of new songs and the greatest hits from the David Bowie songbook including the title song, IT'S NO GAME, THIS IS NOT AMERICA, WHERE ARE WE NOW, LIFE ON MARS, & HEROES. It also includes a book by Tony and Olivier Award winner Enda Walsh (Once the Musical and the upcoming Sing Street).

The musical originally had its World Premiere back in December 2016 Off Broadway at the New York Theatre Workshop for a strictly limited engagement that was sold out. At the time of putting the show together, Bowie was battling liver cancer. He tragically passed away on January 10th, 2016 (just 2 days after his 69th Birthday). With the news of his passing, super Bowie fans would gather outside putting vigils outside in honor his legacy.

Despite mixed reviews, the show went on to receive several Award nominations including the Drama Desk, the Outer Critics Circle, the Lucille Lortel, and more.

The show later went on to London playing the Kings Cross Theatre for a strictly limited holiday engagement the following year. It was well received by critics. Plus, it was also filmed (which is the livestream we cannot wait for) and streamed in Movie Theaters for one night only.

Today, LAZARUS has been performed all around the world.
