Lilli Cooper (original production of Spring Awakening Broadway, WICKED The Musical, and currently seen as “Sandy Cheecks” in SpongeBob Broadway) as the love interest “Julie Nichols” (the Jessica Lange role),
Sarah Stiles (Broadway’s Avenue Q and Hand To God Broadway) as acting student “Sandy Lester” (the Teri Garr role),
Tony winner Michael McGrath (Broadway’s Nice Work If You Can Get It, Memphis The Musical, On The 20th Century, and She Loves Me) as talent agent “Stan Fields” (formerly known as “George” and the Sydney Pollack role),
John Behlmann (Significant Other on Broadway) as veteran actor “Max Von Horn” (formerly known as “John” and the George Gaynes role),
Andy Grotelueschen (Fiasco Theater’s Into the Woods) as roommate “Jeff Slater” (the Bill Murray role),
Julie Halston (Hairspray, You Can’t Take It With You on Broadway) as “Rita” (the Doris Belack role),
Reg Rogers (currently in The Iceman Cometh on Broadway) as Soap director “Ron Carlisle” (the Dabney Coleman role),
and a full Ensemble.
TOOTSIE THE MUSICAL is set to have its world premiere in Chicago this Summer at the Cadillac Palace Theatre in Chicago. It will run there from September 11th, 2018 – October 14, 2018. From there, the show will then officially arrive on Broadway in the Spring 2019 (at a TBD Theater and start time).
