Last week, Loren Lott took over the lead role of “Ti-Moune” in this year’s Tony winning revival of Once On This Island Broadway at Circle in the Square Theatre. The former American Idol contestant documented her whole experience from traveling from Boston, back to New York City, her crazy last minute preparation rehearsal, and her first full night as the new fulltime leading lady.

The production’s original leading lady Tony Award nominee Hailey Kilgore (who Lott originally was understudying) is currently on a medical leave of absence from the show recovering from a foot injury that occurred during her initial last show (before she was technically was supposed to go on vacation). No word has been said on when Kilgore will return or if she is officially done with the show.

Congrats Loren!! What an incredible movement graduating from understudy to star.
