BREAKING NEWS: It may be a BLUE CHRISTMAS for all of the big Apple due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, however its not stopping the popular traditional shows out here. It has just been announced that New York City Ballet will be livestreaming their 2019 edition of their signature presentation of The Nutcracker this holiday season. All of this will be lieu of its annual Live Production held at the David H. Koch Theater at Lincoln Center.

It will be available to watch on Marquee TV from December 11th, 2020-January 3rd, 2021.

The 2020 edition of this production has sadly been cancelled this year due to safety precautions. It also marks history as the first season this legendary ballet has not been danced since its 1954 debut.

With the 62-piece New York City Ballet Orchestra conducted by music director Andrew Litton. this filmed presentation will include….

MARIA KOWROSKI as "The Sugarplum Fairy",

Tyler Angle as "Her Cavalier",

Megan Fairchild as "Dewdrop",

Sophie Thomopoulos as "Marie",

and a full Ensemble of Dancers from both NYC Ballet and The School of American Ballet.

THE NUTCRACKER is expecting to return for the 2021 holiday season at Lincoln Center.
