Today would have marked the 42nd Birthday of the late Tony Award nominee Nick Cordero. In honor of this day and his unforgettable legacy, today marked the highly anticipated release of Cordero's debut LIVE solo album LIVE YOUR LIFE (LIVE FROM FEINSTEIN'S / 54 BELOW) from Broadway Records. In addition, we are so happy to share with all of you that the album debuted on the top of the iTunes charts today at # 1!!!! The Live Album has beated out Taylor Swift's folklore!!!!

LIVE YOUR LIFE is a live recording of Nick Cordero's 2019 solo concert at Feinstein’s/54 Below. It features the late Broadway rock star his story and performing a selection of songs from the worlds of Musical Theater, Rock 'n' Roll, standards, original music, and more. He also shares the stage with special guests….

Kathryn Gallagher (Broadway's Deaf West revival of Spring Awakening and was starring in Jagged Little Pill before this pandemic happened, and mentored by Cordero),

Sara Chase (Broadway's First Date, Off Broadway's The Toxic Avenger with Cordero, TV's Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, and also real-life cousin of NYBT's very own Michael),

and Drew Gehling (Broadway's Waitress opposite Cordero).

The album itself was initially in the works anyway but all plans were put on hold due to the start of the COVID-19 pandemic and Cordero's tragic passing.

All proceeds for the album will be going to support Nick's wife Amanda Kloots and their 1 year old child Elvis.

In case anyone may not know, Nick Cordero (who appeared on Broadway in hits such as Rock of Ages, Bullets Over Broadway which earned him a Tony nomination, Waitress, and last seen in a critical acclaimed performance in A Bronx Tale) tragically passed away earlier this summer following an intense long and horrific battle with COVID-19, plus its side effects. Our hearts continue to break for this ultimate rock star.

Happy Birthday Nick! You truly are ONE OF THE GREAT ONES and that's the way it is. We miss you so much. RIP

How exciting is this?
How amazing is this album?
