BREAKING NEWS: Nicolette Robinson Odom (Off Broadway’s Brooklynite and Invisible Thread and wife of Tony Award winner Leslie Odom Jr) has been tapped to make her Broadway Debut as the new star of the Tony and Grammy nominated smash hit Waitress the Musical.

Beginning September 4th, 2018 at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre, Robinson will replace American Idol and Smash favorite Katherine McPhee and make history as the first African American actress ever to play the lead role of pregnant pie maker “Jenna”.

McPhee’s final bow is set for August 19th, 2018. For the weeks between McPhee’s departure and Robinson’s start date (August 21st – September 2nd, 2018), the role of “Jenna” is expecting to once again (possibly) be played by Ensemble member and understudy Stephanie Torns.
