BREAKING NEWS: That COVID-19 is ruining and abruptly cancelling so many special things that all of us Theater lovers are holding near and dear to our hearts. It has just been revealed that sadly the Olivier Awards has been cancelled following the recent shut down of all West End and UK shows. The annual event was initially set for April 5th, 2020 at London's legendary Royal Albert Hall.

For those who may not know, the Olivier Awards is best known as the British version of the Tony Awards honoring the best of Live Theater in the UK and London's West End. It's named after legendary British actor Laurence Olivier.

Plans organizers for the annual event are figuring out plans to "properly honour and announce this year’s winners". More information will be revealed soon.
