AND I AM TELLING YOU….. it's still possibly happening. Rumors are still spreading around for the possible Broadway transfer of the recent West End production of the legendary Award winning musical Dreamgirls. Under the direction and choreography of Tony winner Casey Nicholaw, the production is in talks to possibly hit Broadway somewhere in Late 2021.
Talks and rumors have been speculated for this new Broadway revival of DREAMGIRLS since 2017. This production marked the official long awaited West End debut ever for the iconic Henry Krieger and Tom Eyen musical about 3 friends who create a singing group, become superstars, and deal with a huge intense price of fame. It played London's Savoy Theatre for 2 years.
No official announcement for dates, casting, or theater has been announced. We hope that CADILLAC CAR will make its way overseas and bring this timeless musical back to where it all began…. The Great Bright Way.
Additional rumors were also said that the production will star Glee favorite Amber Riley reprising her acclaimed performance as "Effie White" which she received an Olivier Award for her performance. Still no announcement has been made yet.
