OMIGOD YOU GUYS! Tony Award nominee Laura Bell Bundy has been feeling SO MUCH BETTER and back. The Legally Blonde favorite is gearing up to release her upcoming 6th solo album entitled DOUBLE STANDARDS: WOMEN OF TOMORROW in 2021. Yup, it's going to be a celebration of female empowerment. The album will be 9 tracks with a twist…going back to the olden days of MGM Movie Musicals and Great American Songbook standards from the 20's, 30's, and 40's.

Going back to the olden days of boogie-woogie music (a la The Andrew Sisters), Bundy is joined by 2 of her longtime Broadway BFF's and some familiar faces you might know….
Shoshana Bean (Bundy's original Hairspray co-star and fellow WICKED alumni, plus most recently seen on the Great Bright Way in Waitress)
and
Tony Award winner Anika Noni Rose (Bundy's castmate from the 2006 film version of Dreamgirls, plus the original production of Caroline or Change, last seen in the 2014 revival of A Raisin in the Sun, and notably the voice of "Tiana" from The Princess and the Frog).
Laura Bell Bundy's previous albums were all country albums. Her debut album was released independently from THE LAB RECORDS in 2007 entitled LONGING FOR A PLACE ALREADY GONE. In that same year, she also released a holiday album entitled I'LL BE HOME FOR CHRISTMAS.
Following her departure from Broadway's Legally Blonde, Bundy was signed to Mercury Nashville releasing her best-selling and critically acclaimed album ever in 2010….ACHIN' & SHAKIN'. It was BOTH her 3rd in general and her debut mainstream album debuting at # 5 on the U.S. Billboard Top Country Albums chart and #28 on the U.S. Billboard 200. It sold 15,000 copies in its first week, becoming the highest debut album sales by a female country artist. The album's single GIDDY ON UP debuted at #60 on the U.S. Billboard Hot Country Songs and reached # 7 on the US Billboard Bubbling Under Hot 100.
In 2013, Bundy released her first solo concert album LIVE AT JAZZFEST 2013 from Homegrown Music Network/MRI. Yup, it was recorded in New Orleans part of Jazzfest.
Her last country album ANOTHER PIECE OF ME was released in 2015 from Big Machine Records. The single TWO STEP debuted on the US Country Airplay at #59.
