FETCH NEWS!!! Mean Girls on Broadway has found a Broadway home and date set for the start of it’s run. The show (based on the acclaimed 2004 Paramount film of the same name) is set to play Broadway’s August Wilson Theatre (currently home of Groundhog Day Musical now through September 17th, 2017). Previews begin March 12th, 2018 and Opening Night set for April 8th, 2018.

The show is gearing up for it’s world premiere out of town tryout at the National Theatre in Washington DC this Fall. It will run there from October 31st, 2017 through December 3rd, 2017.

MEAN GIRLS features a book by the film’s original screenwriter and co-star Tina Fey, music by Fey’s husband Jeff Richmond, lyrics by Tony nominated composer Nell Benjamin (Legally Blonde), and direction and choreography by Tony winner Casey Nicholaw (Aladdin – The Musical, The Book of Mormon on Broadway, Something Rotten The Musical, and numerous acclaimed smash hit musical comedies).

The cast will be led by an exciting all star cast including….
Erika Henningsen (the recent Broadway revival of Les Mis?rables US) in the lead role of the smart and na?ve new student from Africa turned popular girl “Cady Harron”,

Taylor Louderman (Broadway’s BRING IT ON THE MUSICAL and recently in Kinky Boots on Broadway, as well as starring as “Wendy” in NBC’s Peter Pan Live!) will go from playing good girl to bad girl as the popular Queen Bee herself “Regina George”,

Ashley Park (Broadway’s MAMMA MIA!, last seen in the Tony winning revival of The King and I the Musical) as the ultimate gossip girl herself “Gretchen Smith”,

Kate Rockwell (Broadway’s Legally Blonde, BRING IT ON, and Rock of Ages as the super ultimate dumb blonde herself “Karen Smith”,

Barrett Wilbert Weed (Off Broadway’s bare: the musical and Heathers – The Musical as the innocent underdog “Janis Ian”,

Grey Henson (The Book of Mormon on Broadway) as the beloved TOO GAY TO FUNCTION sidekick “Damian Hubbard”,

Tony Award nominee Kerry Butler (Broadway’s Hairspray, Xanadu – the musical, Catch Me If You Can The Musical, and last seen in Disaster – On Broadway) as the newly divorced, successful, intelligent, and caring 12th Grade Calculus teacher “Ms. Sharon Norsbury”,

Kyle Selig (The Book of Mormon on Broadway) as the heartthrob jock “Aaron Samuels”,

Recent Syracuse University grad Cheech Manohar as the cool mathletes captain “Kevin Gnapoor”,

and acclaimed stand-up comedian Rick Younger as the sarcastic, cool, and caring “Principal Ron Duvall”.
