BREAKING NEWS: Waitress the Musical understudy Stephanie Torns will once again take on another shift of playing the leading lady fulltime on Broadway at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre. The actress (who usually appears in the Ensemble every night in WAITRESS) will play a month long stint as pregnant pie maker "Jenna" from February 4th-24th, 2019. Torns begins the same day as the previously announced New Kids On The Block's Joey McIntyre who will become the new "Dr. Pomatter" who will continue playing the role through April 7th, 2019.
The show's composer and current star Tony and Grammy nominee Sara Bareilles and Tony winner Gavin Creel will take their final bows on February 3rd, 2019
FUN FACT: Torns and McIntyre both made their Broadway Debuts in WICKED The Musical. Torns appeared in both the Broadway and the 1st National Touring companies as a member of the Ensemble plus covering the lead role of "Elphaba" from 2019-2014. McIntyre became the first fulltime replacement for "Fiyero" in the Broadway company back in 2004.
