ROYAL FIRST LOOK: The highly anticipated Netflix proshot filmed presentation of the new musical Diana has officially released the first trailer. Get ready to experience a promising powerful show before it reaches its long awaited Broadway Opening later this Fall. Under the direction of Tony winner Christopher Ashley, the cast is led by….
Broadway and West End favorite Jeanna de Waal as the titular role of “Princess Diana of Wales”,
Roe Hartrampf in his Broadway debut as “Prince Charles”,
Erin Davie as “Camilla Parker Bowles”,
2 time Tony Award winner Judy Kaye as “Queen Elizabeth”,
and
the full Original Broadway cast.
This filmed proshot of DIANA was recorded last Summer on the stage of show’s Broadway home at the Longacre Theatre. The production got approval to be filmed by Actors’ Equity Association and following extreme ongoing COVID-19 safety protocols. It was shot without a live audience due to the pandemic.
DIANA is set to be released on Netflix beginning October 1st, 2021.
From there, the show will make its long awaited return to be performed LIVE ON STAGE at the Longacre Theatre in front of an audience the following month. Previews will resume on November 2nd, 2021 and will have its long awaited Opening Night on November 17th, 2021.

FIRST LOOK: One of the most long awaited productions set to return to the Great Bright Way that will finally reach its long awaited Opening Night is the new ROYAL musical Diana. We are so excited to share with you a brand new production poster that has gone out for the production.
This poster features the show’s leading lady Broadway and West End favorite Jeanna de Waal who will star in the titular role of “Princess Diana of Wales”.
DIANA will resume its Broadway previews on November 2nd, 2021 will its official Opening night set for November 17th, 2021.
In addition prior before its Broadway return, the musical will release the filmed proshot of the production. It will be coming to Netflix on October 1st, 2021.

Diana DeGarmo and Ace Young To Lead FIRST DATE National Tour

THAT'S WHY YOU LOVE ME!! They wowed the hearts of millions on National TV and ended up on the Great White Way. It has been announced that real life Actor-Singing husband and wife duo, American Idol favorites, and Broadway veterans Ace Young and Diana DeGarmo will headline the highly anticipated overdue First National Tour of the smash hit First Date The Musical. Under the direction of Matt DiCarlo (The Play That Goes Wrong), this newly updated production will be making its way across North America in the Fall of 2020.

FIRST DATE is a musical comedy centering on the events of a blind date between a quirky conservative banker and an artsy serial-dater. Throughout the course of the evening, the casual drink night becomes a crazy high-stakes dinner. The show features an original score by Alan Zachary and Michael Weiner along with a book by Austin Winsberg. It features some notable songs including THE ONE, FIRST IMPRESSIONS, SAFER, IN LOVE WITH YOU, and SOMETHING THAT WILL LAST.

The show originally was developed and premiered in Seattle, Washington at the ACT Theatre (in association with The 5th Avenue Theatre) back in 2012. Under the direction of Bill Berry and staging by Josh Rhodes, the world premiere cast consisted of….

FUN FACT: NYBT Tour Guide Michael is real life cousin of Sara Chase (one of the original cast members from Broadway).

Diana Rigg Will Depart MY FAIR LADY on September 9

BREAKING NEWS: Tony nominated actress Diana Rigg is set to leave the acclaimed Lincoln Center Theater revival of My Fair Lady on Broadway. Her final performance at the Vivian Beaumont Theatre is set for September 9th ,2018.

No word has been said on who will take over from Rigg in the role of “Mrs. Higgins”, the long-suffering mother of the male lead role of “Henry Higgins”.
