MADE IT TO PARADISE. Earlier this week, the company of the Broadway Bound Escape to Margaritaville: The Musical kicked off their Pre-Broadway bound Tour in New Orleans, Louisiana at the Sagener Theatre.
It will continue in NOLA through this Saturday (October 28th, 2017) before continuing on to…
Houston, Texas from October 31st, 2017 – November 5th, 2017 at the Hobby Center,
and
Chicago, Illinois at the Oriental Theatre from November 9th, 2017 through December 2nd, 2017.
Following the mini tour, the show (featuring the music of Jimmy Buffett) will officially be arrive on the Great White Way playing the Marquis Theatre. Previews will begin February 19th, 2018 and Opening Night set for March 15th, 2018.

BREAKING NEWS: The Tony nominated smash hit War Paint (starring 2 time Tony winners Patti LuPone and Christine Ebersole) will now end it’s Broadway run on November 5th, 2017 (instead of December 30th, 2017) at the Nederlander Theatre. The show is closing early due to LuPone having an immediate hip-replacement surgery. Following the closing, it will have run for 33 previews and 236 regular performances. Who is sad to see the show leave? Pray for Patti!!

ON THE MARQUEE: Earlier this week, the Broadway company of the Award winning smash hit Beautiful – The Carole King Musical welcomed back Chilina Kennedy to the lead role of Grammy winning singer /songwriter “Carole King”. Kennedy spent the summer on the National Tour playing the role in her hometown of Toronto, Canada. Check out the front of house billboards outside the Stephen Sondheim Theatre that went up for her return.
In addition, WICKED The Musical and original Newsies star Kara Lindsay took over the role of acclaimed singer/songwritter “Cynthia Weil”. However, no photo of her was put up outside the Theater yet.

Get ready to CARRY THE BANNER and SEIZE THE DAY from your very own home! Earlier this week, Disney released the digital edition of the acclaimed filmed performance of the Tony winning smash hit Newsies. For those who couldn’t get to see the show live on Broadway at the Nederlander Theatre, on tour, or it’s Theatrical movie release, here is your chance to experience the thrills, the action, the choreography, and the excitement of NEWSIES for your very own.
The filmed performance was captured last year during the last few months of the first National Tour during a stop in Los Angeles at the Hollywood Pantages Theatre. The cast featured majority of the original Broadway cast (including Tony nominee Jeremy Jordan as “Jack Kelly”, Andrew Keenan-Bolger as “Crutchie, Kara Lindsay as “Katherine Plumber”, Ben Fankhauser as “Davey”, Tommy Bracco as “Spot”), replacements in the Broadway cast, and the touring cast.

FOR THE FIRST TIME IN 15 YEARS, THEY STILL FEEL WICKED! Earlier last week, WICKED The Musical’s original leading couple Tony winner Idina Menzel and 2 time Tony winner Norbert Leo Butz reunited on stage at B.B. King Blues Club & Grill in NYC at a Karaoke event in support of Menzel’s charity A BroaderWay Foundation. Together, they recreated that onstage romance they last shared on stage 15 years ago singing the show’s romantic Act 2 duet AS LONG AS YOU’RE MINE. How THRILLIFYING it is to see the original “Elphaba” and “Fiyero” together again?!!
What a great night it was celebrating A BroaderWay with Idina Menzel and Norbert Leo Butz. So thankful to everyone who performed!
