ON THE MARQUEE: Surrender to the romance, darkness, and the power of THE MUSIC OF THE NIGHT as The Phantom of the Opera is gearing up for it’s 30th Haunted Year on the Great White Way this month. The billboards of the Majestic Theatre have been updated featuring members of it’s new cast (including International masked man Peter Joback) now playing in the production that will be performing during this huge historical milestone.

BREAKING NEWS: Heather Menzies Urich who was well known for playing “Louisa”, the 2nd eldest Von Trapp daughter in the beloved Oscar winning film adaptation of Rodgers & Hammerstein’s The Sound Of Music passed away due to brain cancer this Christmas Day at the age of 68. In addition to her role in THE SOUND OF MUSIC, Menzies-Urich was known for her work on Logan’s Run (TV series)
With Menzies-Urich no longer with us, 5 of the film’s Von Trapp Children are still around. Last year, Charmian Carr who played the oldest daughter and family member “Leisel” passed away at the age of 73 due to the complications related to frontotemporal dementia.
RIP Heather and Charmain.

Heather Menzies-Urich, who starred as Louisa von Trapp in the film version of ‘The Sound of Music,’ died at 68. She was the widow of actor Robert Urich.

Check out an all new music video of Tony and Grammy nominee Sara Bareilles and Grammy winner Jason Mraz performing the beautiful ballad IT ONLY TAKES A TASTE from Waitress the Musical in Central Park. You can see them perform this song live 8 times a week beginning next month at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre for 2 weeks only (January 16th – 28th, 2018).
Bareilles will rejoin the cast as “Jenna” for a limited 6 week run from January 16th, 2018 and will stay through February 25th, 2018.
Mraz is currently making his Broadway Debut in the show playing “Dr. Pomatter” now though January 28th, 2018.
