PLEASE FOLKS, MAY I HAVE YOUR ATTENTION PLEASE!!! The highly anticipated Broadway revival of the legendary musical The Music Man is searching for a young boy to play one of the featured main roles in the entire show…. "Winthrop Paroo".

This Sunday, Telsey & Company Casting will be hosting an Open Casting Call for the role. To prepare for the audition, here's the breakdown:

WHO IS "WINTHROPP PAROO"?: Young Male, any ethnicity from the ages 7-10, under 4'6". In the musical, he is the little brother of the musical's female protagonist "Marian Paroo" (played by Tony Award winner Sutton Foster). Very self-conscious and shy. Teased and has a noticeable lisp. Along the way, he learns to overcome that shyness by taking part in River City's Marching Band led by Professor Herald Hill (played by Tony Award winner Hugh Jackman). Plays coronet (no experience necessary – However, will learn how to play on the job). Strong actor and singer.

WHAT TO PREPARE?: A cut of the song GARY INDIANA from the musical (see the link to load it).

WHERE: Telsey + Company, 1501 Broadway, Suite 510 – Entrance is on 43rd Street between 7th and 8th Avenues (Bring photo ID to enter the building)

The new revival of THE MUSIC MAN will be marching into Broadway's Winter Garden Theatre this Fall. Previews begin September 9th, 2020, and Opening Night set for October 15th, 2020.
