BREAKING NEWS: Yesterday was a very bittersweet day for the Theater community as we lost another unforgettable Broadway talent…..Tony Award winner Brent Carver at the age of 68 at his home in Cranbrook, British Columbia, Canada. No word has been said on what caused the death.

Carver was notably best known for originating the roles of 2 notable leading roles (both who turn out to be criminals) in stage musical consisting of….

"Luis Alberto Molina" in KISS OF THE SPIDERWOMAN which he received a 1993 Tony for Best Leading Actor in a Musical

and

"Leo Frank" in Parade which he received a 1999 Tony nomination for Best Leading Actor in a Musical.

He also starred in a number of stage productions both in New York City and around the world including Fiddler on the Roof, , King Lear, Lord of the Rings, Elephant Man, As You Like It and was last seen on the Great Bright Way in the recent 2013 revival of Romeo and Juliet.

He also appeared in several Films and TV shows including The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, Millennium, Due South, Lillies, Inside Canada, Save Me, and more.

Our hearts break to all of Brent's family, friends, and everyone who ever experienced working with this amazing performer.
