YOU IN THE UK, LISTEN TO THIS?!!!! The recently announced highly anticipated Holiday encore engagement of the Staged Concert Production of the legendary Les Miserables in London's West End is officially SOLD OUT!!! However by popular demand, the engagement has been extended for an additional 2 WEEKS. It will now run from December 5th, 2020-February 7th, 2021 at the musical's longtime home at the Sondheim Theatre (formerly The Queen's Theatre).
As previously announced, the Staged Concert of this timeless musical will be performed for a limited time as a chance for the company to perform with continued COVID-19 safety precautions. It's an Encore engagement following the success of last year's 16 week run when the show was playing at the Gielgud Theatre (at the time with the Sondheim's 4 month renovation project). Olivier Award winner Michael Ball as "Inspector Javert",
British comedy star Matt Lucas as "Thernadier",
West End favorite Carrie Hope Fletcher as "Fantine",
and a full cast and orchestra of 50!!!!
In addition with this continued time of the COVID-19 pandemic, the concert production features the company fully socially distanced from another. They will all be spread out performing the legendary score LIVE standing in front of classical styled microphones down center stage. All workers in the Theater, and their fellow audience members will be going through constant temperature checks. The Sondheim Theatre will be stalling more Hand Sanitizers. Most important, everyone will STILL be required to social distant and wear their face masks. For social distancing, seats will be removed to also give patrons more legroom (yup, you know how tight it gets being in a row at a Live Performance). In addition before and after every performance, all the Theaters will undergo extended constant deep-cleanings.
LES MISERABLES is expecting to return to its usual full scale staging with the NEW production on the Sondheim Theatre stage at a time TBD once it's fully safe again.

Tonight, it was reported that due to overwhelming demand the show's producers have announced a two week extension. The initial six weeks of performances have completely sold out.
