Things are getting underway in THE ROOM WHERE IT HAPPENS. The Award winning smash hit Hamilton is gearing up to launch its And Peggy 3rd National Tour in Puerto Rico this month. Earlier today, the show's creator and original star Lin-Manuel Miranda (who will be reprising his performance of the title role for the Puerto Rico engagement only) took to social media to share some fun behind the scenes footage of the company in their big SITZPROBE rehearsal yesterday.
For those who may not know, a SIZPROBE is a special rehearsal for a musical or an opera. In this rehearsal, the entire cast and the Orchestra (before they move into the pit) meet and perform together for the very first time.
In this 4 part video, Miranda documented the show's orchestra and original musical director Tony winner Alex Lacamoire as he shares with the entire cast how the dance break in the musical's big showstopper YORKTOWN (THE WORLD TURNS UPSIDE DOWN) sounds like with each instrument before all coming together.
The Puerto Rico engagement of HAMILTON is coming to the Centro De Bellas Artes Luis A. Ferr? from January 11th through the 27th, 2019 (with a possible extension).
