WE WILL RAISE YOU UP & HEAR THE OCEAN! Today is a very bittersweet day for the Broadway community as we say farewell to 2 of the best acclaimed shows that have got on to win both the Tony Awards for Best Musical and the Recording Academy / GRAMMYs.

The first show is one of the most beautiful and breathtaking shows that took home glory at last year's Tonys…. The Band's Visit. The show (David Yazbek's musical version of the Award winning Israeli film of the same name) closes following 36 previews and 589 regular performances at Broadway's Ethel Barrymore Theatre. For those who weren't able to get to New York City, you don't have to worry about WAITING for long as the show launches its 1st National Tour this June 2019. The tour will launch in Providence, RI beginning June 25th, 2019. From there, it will be making scheduled stops in Chicago, Washington D.C., San Francisco, Toronto, Houston, Denver, Las Vegas, Pittsburgh, and more. In addition, the announcement of the Touring cast will be revealed soon.

The second show set to close today is truly THE MOST BEAUTIFUL THING IN THE WORLD and has motivated us in 6 ways consisting of…. PERSUING THE TRUTH, LEARNING SOMETHING NEW, ACCEPTING YOURSELF & WE'LL ACCEPT OTHERS TOO, LET LOVE SHINE, LET PRIDE BE OUR GUIDE, & CHANGE THE WORLD WHEN YOU CHANGE YOUR MIND. We of course are talking about the 2013 Tony winning smash hit Kinky Boots on Broadway. The show (Harvey Fierstein and Cyndi Lauper's musical adaptation of the 2005 British film of the same name) struts its stuff for the last time following 34 previews and 2,507 regular performances at Broadway's Al Hirschfeld Theatre. With the show's closing, the musical will continue play numerous companies all across the country including its current UK/Ireland Tour and a new sit-down production on Norwegian Cruise Line. Thank for the greatest 6 1/2 years in THE LAND OF LOLA.

EVERYBODY SAY YEAH and give it up for both motivating shows that have been THE BEAT OF OUR HEART.

Which show you are most sad to see leave Broadway?
