BREAKING NEWS: THE HEAT IS ON as casting has been announced for the upcoming National Tour of the recent 25th Anniversary revival production of the legendary musical Miss Saigon US. The casting that will be experiencing THE MOVIE IN OUR MINDS 8 times a week in a city near you will be the following….
Emily Bautista will take on the lead role of 17 year old “Kim”. Bautista graduates to playing the lead on tour after previously appearing in the recent Broadway revival of MISS SAIGON. She appeared in the Ensemble and also understudied the Broadway revival production’s original leading lady Eva Maria Noblezada in the role of “Kim”.
Filipino-born actor Red Concepci?n will take on the lead role of the sleazy hustling bar owner known as “The Engineer”. He is currently wrapping up his run playing “The Engineer” on the UK/Ireland Touring production of this revival,
Anthony Festa (Off Broadway’s Desperate Measures and Bare, National Tours of WICKED The Musical and Finding Neverland – The New Musical) will take on the role of the heartthrob G.I. “Chris”,
Stacie Bono (Off Broadway’s Avenue Q and Sweeney Todd NYC) will play “Ellen” the new American wife “Chris” cheats on “Kim” for,
Jamarice Daughtry will play fellow G.I. and the best friend of “Chris” himself “John”,
Jinwoo Jung will star as the cruel cousin that “Kim” is initially was supposed to marry “Thuy”,
Christine Bunuan will play bargirl “Gigi”,
newcomer Myra Molloy will serve as the Alternate “Kim” (playing 2 performances a week),
and a full Ensemble.
The new National Tour of MISS SAIGON is set to kick off this September in Providence, RI, before flying that helicopter and landing in many cities all across the country.
