And the final curtain has went down on the Award winning smash hit Bandstand Broadway. Check out the company SWINGIN’ out one last time with the show’s EPILOUGE (which includes the reprise of the showstopper NOBODY) and taking their final bows at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre. In addition, the show’s Tony winning choreography Andy Blankenbuehler and the creative team took the stage to give a final farewell speech.
BANDSTAND closes after disappointing low ticket sales even though it got a lot of positive vibe. It closes after 24 previews and 166 regular performances. Coming up next for the original big band musical will be a possible National Tour and as well as future School, Community, and Regional productions everywhere (with Samuel French, Inc. offering the rights).
Happy Trails to the entire cast, crew, musicians, and creative team of BANDSTAND!!
