BROADWAY NEWS: Emmy Rossum and Zoe Winters joins WALDEN Off Broadway this Fall!

LIFT OFF!!! Golden Globe nominee Emmy Rossum (TV’s Shameless and “Christine Daae” in the film adaption of Andrew Lloyd Webber‘s The Phantom of the Opera) and Obie Award nominee Zoe Winters (Heroes of the Fourth Turning plus TV’s Succession) have been tapped to star in the new Off-Broadway play WALDEN by Amy Berryman this Fall at Second Stage Theater.
Casting for an additional character to play Rossum’s character’s fiance is still underway.
Under the direction of Whitney White, the new play will play Second Stage’s Tony Kiser Theatre. Previews start October 16th, 2024, official open November 7th, 2024, & will run through November 24th, 2024.
WALDEN tells the story of 2 sisters at a crossroads of their ultimate decision of a life in outer space or on earth.

BROADWAY NEWS: Mean Girls’ Kyle Selig joins Broadway’s Water For Elephants last night!!

To kick off our first bit of HOT BROADWAY NEWS back in so long is a cast change announcement. Here we go!!!
Last night, Broadway favorite Kyle Selig (Mean Girls original “Aaron Samuels” plus The Book of Mormon) took over as the new leading man in the cast of the Tony nominated smash hit Water For Elephants at the Imperial Theatre.
Selig succeeded original cast member Grant Gustin (TV’s The Flash and Glee) as Circus Veterinarian “Jacob Jankowski”. Gustin played his final performance this past Sunday. Next up for the versatile stage and screen star, he’s about to welcome a 2nd child.

Hey y’all at New York Broadway Tours!!! Sorry I’ve been MIA for a whole year and a half.
We’ve still been around. I’ve been giving the tours out here in NYC with Amada watching via Florida. We never left. Just social media status was on a long pause. Amada was doing some promo postings and tweaks with all the new directions for NYBT we are so excited for coming up. Gonna be BIG and LIT!!!
I’m excited to get BACK IN THE GAME, BACK TO THE STAGE!! Lots of catching up and bringing back what really got us out there more….. THE BROADWAY NEWS & GOSSIP!! Everything you want to know about shows, stars, history and more.

ON THE MARQUEE: Lackawanna Blues at the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre

ON THE MARQUEE: One of the first set of works for the new season to open on Broadway post pandemic is Tony winner Ruben Santiago Hudson ‘s critically acclaimed one man show LACKAWANNA BLUES. It’s also the first to relaunch Manhattan Theatre Club.
Despite having several performances getting cancelled due to Hudson recovering from a back injury, he is continuing to perform fullout. In addition to all of this, the show has just been extended again now through this Friday, November 12th, 2021.

ON THE MARQUEE: Waitress at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre (featuring new leading lady Grammy winner Jennifer Nettles)

ON THE MARQUEE: Nothing like waking up to that delicious taste of BROADWAY’S BACK BLUEBERRY PIE as the current encore engagement of the Tony & Grammy nominated smash hit Waitress the Musical continues to play to packed houses every night.
Most recently, the show just welcomed Grammy Award winner Jennifer Nettles as she continues to play a month long run as pregnant pie maker “Jenna Hunterson”. She continues with the production now through November 24th, 2021.
Get a look at the front of house billboards outside the show’s home at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre featuring Nettles in costume. Yes, it includes tons of pie.
Following Nettles departure, it was recently announced that the very next day (Thanksgiving), Broadway veteran Ciara Renee will don the blue uniform and white apron as “Jenna”.
This limited engagement revival of WAITRESS continues to run now till January 9th, 2022.
