BREAKING NEWS: According to her Instagram post, Phoenix Best (the recent Broadway revival of The Color Purple Musical and last seen as “Eponine” on the current National Tour of the recent acclaimed revival of Les Mis?rables US) has been tapped to join the Broadway cast of Dear Evan Hansen. She will succeed original cast member Kristolyn Lloyd in the role of the smart, precocious and insufferable “Alana Beck”. No official start date for Best has been announced yet.
As previously announced, Lloyd will take her final bow at the Music Box Theatre on March 11th, 2018.
Congrats Pheonix. Break a leg.
