BROADWAY GOT YOU BABE! Check out the first teaser commercial for the upcoming Broadway bound The Cher Show. The musical will have it’s world premiere Broadway tryout in Chicago at the Oriental Theatre starting June 12th, 2018 for a limited 5 week run. From there, it will then officially hit the Great White Way next Fall 2018 playing Broadway’s Neil Simon Theatre (currently home of the limited run revival of Angels in America on Broadway). No dates for the start of the Broadway run or casting has been announced.
THE CHER SHOW chronicles the life of the legendary singer and actress Cher through 3 stages of her life (played by 3 actresses). Her early younger years, her times with Sonny Bono, and becoming the diva we all know in love. It’s expecting to feature a catalog of all your favorite Cher songs including THE BEAT GOES ON, I GOT YOU BABE, HALF BREED, GYPSIES, TRAMPS, & THIEVES, IF I COULD TURN BACK TIME, BELIEVE. and more. The show features a book by Rick Elice, direction by Tony nominee Jason Moore, and choreography by Tony winner Christopher Gattelli.
