Broadway is celebrating the 75th Anniversary of the show that changed the face of American Musical Theatre…. Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Oklahoma! Earlier this weekend during the curtain call at following a performance of Escape to Margaritaville: The Musical at the Marquis Theatre, the cast performed an all new arrangement of one of beloved songs from OKLAHOMA itself THE SURREY WITH A FRINGE ON TOP…. very Jimmy Buffett style. Halfway through the song, the real Jimmy Buffett (the creator of the show) surprised the audience center stage joining them. How amazing is this? Happy 75th Anniversary Oklahoma!! Awesome job Margaritaville cast!!
