THE SUN’S GONNA SHINE AGAIN! Bright Star: A New Musical’s original leady lady Carmen Cusack is set to reprise her acclaimed Tony nominated performance of “Alice Murphy” for the LA engagement on the show’s upcoming National Tour.

The Los Angeles engagement is set to play the Ahmanson Theatre from October 11th-November 19th, 2017.

No word has been announced for the full list of dates or if Cusack will be staying for the entire run of the tour.

BRIGHT STAR features a score by Steve Martin and Edie Brickell. It’s inspired by a true story of a woman experiencing love, loss, and redemption in the 1920’s through the 1940’s. Following acclaimed runs in San Diego and in Washington DC, the show played Broadway’s Cort Theatre during the 2015-2016 Broadway season for 30 previews and 106 regular performances. It was nominated for 5 Tony Awards including Best Musical, Best Score (for Matin and Brickell), and Best Actress (for Cusack) but lost all of it’s categories. Following it’s 0 Tony wins and extremely disappointing ticket sales, it closed a few weeks later.

Most recently, the original Broadway cast reunited for a one night only concert adaptation of the show at The Town Hall and was livestreamed on TheaterMania.

Who is excited to see Carmen in her acclaimed performance once again?!
